Health Screens

Mayfair Doctors Walk-In Clinic provides comprehensive testing which can be adapted to fit the areas of your concern. Health screens can help identify early stages of disease or other health issues and potential risk factors due to lifestyle or family history which may be putting your health at risk. Our aim is to help you to stay healthy and that's why we recommend our patients to undergo annual health screens.

Prior to your screen, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire to give us an idea of your lifestyle and medical history.

You will receive a report detailing the clinical findings and diagnostic results together with reccomendations to improve your well being. The report will be available approximately two weeks after your appointment, which allows time for any blood test results to be returned from the laboratory.

The health screens can incorporate the following tests:

  • Height & Weight Measurements
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Resting Blood Pressure
  • Resting ECG - to check heart rhythm and heart function
  • Spirometry - to test lung function
  • Urinalysis & Stool Analysis*
  • Full Blood Screen**
  • Prostate Examination (Men)
  • PSA Test (Men)
  • Testicular Examination (Men)
  • Breast Examination (Women)
  • Cervical Smear (Women)
  • Pelvic Examination (Women)

For men: PSA test is performed for the risk of prostate cancer normally over 45 years old or if clinically indicated.

For women: a female member of staff will be present during your physical examination.

* Sample containers for urine and stool analysis will be provided prior to the health screen

** Full blood screen includes:

  • Biochemistry
  • Blood Glucose and Lipids
  • Cholesterol
